The Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) 2016 Tier 1 exam will be conducted on May 8 and 22, 2016 and SSC CGL 2016 Tier 2 exam will be conducted on August 13 and 14, 2016.

SSC seeks to select candidates for filling up different categories of posts in various Ministries / Departments / Organisations. Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level 2016 exam consists of Tier I – Written Examination exam of 2 hour duration (Objective-Type), Tier II – Written Examination exam of 2 hour duration (Objective-Type) and Tier III – Computer Proficiency Test / Skill Test (if applicable) and Document Verification.

 The candidates, have to first qualify the written exam by securing minimum required marks. The qualified candidates of written exam are called for Computer Proficiency Test or Skill Test. Those candidates who qualify the final round are recommended by the Commission for appointment, subject to their performance in the written exam. Candidates can fill up the application, either a paper application or online application, and submit it to the concerned Regional / Sub-Regional office of SSC before March 24, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria – The candidates must have a Graduation degree from a recognized University. They must be a citizen of India and aged according to the age limit specified by the Commission as on January 1, 2016 or August 1, 2016. According to SSC notification, Date of Birth (DOB) as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted. SSC lists out permissible relaxation of upper age limit to select category candidates as per Government orders andcategory-codes for claiming age relaxation as on the specified date of reckoning.

Result – SSC declares the result of Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams tentatively two months after the respective exams. The candidates qualifying of the written exam by securing minimum required marks, are called for Computer Proficiency Test or Skill Test.
