The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is conducting IBPS PO 2016 for various positions such as Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees or similar posts in 23 public sector banks across India.
The Selection Process consists of three stages of IBPS 2016 Exams :
BPS PO Preliminary Exam (Prelims): This is a online exam which is conducted by exam conducting body. Candidates must have to clear preliminary exam to be qualified for the main exam.
- IBPS PO Main Exam (Mains):After qualifying the preliminary exam (prelims), candidates are called for Main Exam. IBPS PO Mains is also conducted online.
- IBPS PO Interview: Aspirants, who qualify in the main exam, are called to appear in the interview round, which is the final phase of selection. After qualifying the final round, candidates are appointed in the PO cadre of any of the participating banks.
Eligibility Criteria : Candidate must have a Graduation degree in any discipline with at least 60% (55% for SC/ST/PWD) marks from a recognized University or any other equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Aspirants, who are aged between 20 years and 30 years as on July 1, 2016, can apply for the recruitment exam.
- The exam body has relaxed the upper age limit for reserved category candidates up to a specified extent.
The applicants have to get registered themselves in online mode only. They have to fill in application form of IBPS PO 2016, expected to be available online in second week of July, 2016. The last date of remitting of online fee is tentatively in first week of August, 2016. SC/ST/PWD category candidates have to pay Rs.100 as IBPS PO 2016 Application Fees / Intimation Charges, while other category candidates have to remit a fee of Rs.600.
While the Online exam – Preliminary will be held on October 15, 22 & 23, 2016, the Online – Main exam will be held on November 20, 2016.
